Terms of Service

Plain-English terms governing use of Relay during the private beta. A fuller version, finalized with counsel, will replace this document before general availability. Material changes will be notified 30 days in advance.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or connecting a source to Relay you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Beta status
Relay is in private beta. Features, pricing, and data-handling policies may change with 30 days' notice via email to the workspace owner.
During the beta, Relay may access your workspace data for the sole purpose of diagnosing issues you report. We do not use your data to train models, ever.
3. Your data
Your data remains yours. Relay stores it to serve your workspace and deletes it on request within 30 days.
Every atom carries provenance to the source line so you can verify what we extracted from which document at any time.
4. Acceptable use
No: illegal content, harassment, malware, mass automated abuse of the API, or attempts to exceed the tier caps you subscribed to.
Yes: everything a legitimate work-knowledge tool should do.
5. Payment
Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually via our payment processor. Failed payments enter a 14-day grace period; unpaid accounts revert to the Free tier and preserve read-only access to existing atoms.
Refunds within 14 days of a new subscription, no questions asked. After that, prorated on cancellation.
6. Termination
You can delete your workspace at any time from Settings → Workspace. Full purge follows a 30-day soft-delete grace window in case you change your mind.
Relay reserves the right to suspend accounts violating §4 with reasonable notice.
7. Liability
Relay is provided as-is during the beta. Aggregate liability is capped at fees paid in the prior 12 months.
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data (see /trust); no system is invulnerable.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Relay is incorporated. Disputes are resolved through binding arbitration.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are notified 30 days in advance via email to the workspace owner. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
